Drug Crime Charges Expected After Raids In Riverside | Temecula, Murrieta & Hemet Criminal Defense Attorney

Riverside County authorities were busy congratulation themselves in late September after they seized almost $1 million in street-ready marijuana and $5 million in methamphetamine-related chemicals from residences in Woodcrest and Riverside.

According to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Department, authorities raided a home in the 19000 block of White Dove Lane in Woodcrest on Thursday, Sept. 25. They allegedly found 40 pounds of finished crystal methamphetamine and 40 gallons of liquid methamphetamine, which would have been turned into about 250 pounds of crystal methamphetamine.

The following day, authorities raided a residence in the 170000 block of Twin Lakes Drive in Riverside. They allegedly seized 230 pounds of processed marijuana and 300 marijuana plants. They also confiscated $70,000 in cash and several firearms.

All in all, seven people were arrested in connection with the raids. The Regional Narcotic Enforcement Team, U.S. Customs, Riverside County Sheriff's Department and the Riverside and Woodcrest police departments cooperated on the raids. (One can only imagine how the suspects felt knowing they had been teamed up against by so many law enforcement agencies.)

Drug crimes like this are very serious, and the potential punishments are very strict. The seven people who were arrested would do well to make sure they have arranged for a thorough and vigorous defense. If they don't, they risk being railroaded by the criminal justice process.
