A licensed therapist was charged with domestic violence in Federal Court following an alleged incident on a military base. Because the incident occurred on federal property, the client faced prosecution by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. A conviction would have triggered a permanent criminal record and the likely revocation of her professional healthcare license, effectively ending her career.
Our Strategy
We focused on showing the prosecution that the facts of the case didn’t warrant a conviction. By highlighting the inconsistencies in the allegations and the extreme impact a federal case would have on her livelihood, we pushed for a dismissal. We successfully convinced federal prosecutors to drop the charges, ensuring her professional license stayed safe and her future remained secure.
