Our client was charged as an accessory to murder following a shooting at a busy Temecula restaurant. The prosecution alleged that our client aided the primary suspect in fleeing the scene after a fatal confrontation.
Our Strategy
After a careful review of police reports and video surveillance footage, we established that our client was nearly shot himself while attempting to de-escalate the confrontation between his friend and one of the victims. We presented this evidence to the prosecution to negotiate a significantly reduced charge and sentence, emphasizing our client’s lack of intent to commit a crime.
