The Challenge
Law enforcement conducted a months-long undercover investigation that uncovered alleged large-scale marijuana cultivation operations at multiple locations in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. During the investigation, our client was also found in possession of dozens of AR-15 style firearms. Prosecutors sought a state prison sentence based on the scale of the alleged operation and the firearms involved.
Our Strategy
We engaged in aggressive negotiations with the prosecution while presenting evidence that placed our client’s role in the alleged operation in proper context. At the same time, we highlighted significant mitigating factors in our client’s personal background and family circumstances. Through strategic advocacy, we argued that a prison sentence was unnecessary and that a structured alternative would better serve the interests of justice while allowing our client to remain with their family under home confinement.
The Result
HOUSE ARREST INSTEAD OF PRISON
