Office Manager Accused of Grand Theft and Embezzlement – Prison Avoided

Murrieta

The Challenge

An office manager was accused of grand theft and embezzlement involving approximately $55,000 from her employer. During the investigation, authorities also discovered that she had previously been convicted in connection with a $3-million real estate fraud scheme, for which she had served a 10-year prison sentence. Due to the prior conviction and the nature of the allegations, our client faced the possibility of significant additional prison time.

Our Strategy

Through negotiations with the prosecution and presentation of mitigating factors, we advocated for a resolution that avoided incarceration despite our client’s prior record. The case was ultimately resolved with probation and house arrest, allowing our client to remain in the community.

The Result

PROBATION AND HOUSE ARREST — PRISON AVOIDED
