The Challenge
Members of the Sheriff’s Department and the DEA executed a search warrant at a residence in Lake Elsinore, uncovering 45 lbs. of methamphetamine, 6 lbs. of fentanyl, 5 lbs. of heroin, and 29 lbs. of marijuana. Our client and another individual were arrested at the scene. Authorities claimed that our client oversaw the entire operation of a large drug trafficking organization, with potential prison exposure of upwards of 29 years due to the quantity of drugs involved.
Our Strategy
We conducted a thorough review of the evidence and presented mitigating factors, including our client’s limited actual involvement in the operation. Through strategic negotiations with prosecutors, we emphasized our client’s personal circumstances, and willingness to accept responsibility. Our advocacy focused on achieving a substantially reduced sentence while ensuring our client could remain part of his family and community under supervision.
The Result
SENTENCE REDUCED RESULTING IN PROBATION WITH JAIL INSTEAD OF LENGTHY PRISON TIME
