Possession With Intent to Sell 2,000 lbs. (1 ton) of Marijuana

Murrieta

The Challenge

Our client and her boyfriend were arrested after authorities discovered approximately 2,000 pounds (one ton) of marijuana packaged for transportation at two residences in Temecula and Murrieta. Prosecutors charged our client with possession of marijuana for sale and child endangerment, exposing her to significant felony penalties.

Our Strategy

After lengthy court proceedings, we challenged the prosecution’s evidence linking our client to the alleged sales operation. Through negotiations with the prosecutor and presentation of mitigating factors, we were able to secure the dismissal of the felony possession-for-sale charge. Our client was ultimately placed on probation with work release and house arrest, avoiding a felony conviction and potential prison sentence.

The Result

FELONY DRUG SALES CHARGE DISMISSED — PROBATION WITH WORK RELEASE AND HOUSE ARREST
