A former civil engineer was arrested following allegations of making threatening phone calls to a local police station. Given the nature of the accusations, the client faced serious felony charges related to making criminal threats. A conviction would have resulted in significant jail time and a permanent criminal record, ending any future professional opportunities in his field.
Our Strategy
We took immediate action by intervening with the District Attorney’s Office before the initial court date. By presenting a compelling case for mitigation and highlighting the client’s background, we successfully convinced the District Attorney to reject the case entirely, ensuring no criminal charges were ever filed and the client’s record remained clear.
