The Challenge
Law enforcement received a tip from an informant about a truck allegedly transporting cocaine from San Diego to Los Angeles. Officers followed the vehicle to a ride-share parking lot, where they discovered approximately 244 kilograms (540 pounds) of cocaine, with an estimated street value of $24 million. Due to the massive quantity of narcotics, our client faced serious drug trafficking charges and the possibility of a lengthy prison sentence.
Our Strategy
We aggressively challenged the prosecution’s case while advocating for a resolution that protected our client’s rights and minimized exposure to severe penalties. Through negotiations and strategic defense advocacy, we secured a substantially reduced outcome compared to the lengthy sentence initially sought by the government.
The Result
SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED SENTENCE
